Clay Bars

Your car may have contamination on the paintwork, when you rub your hand across it the surface should be smooth and you should not be able to feel anything in the paint. Clay bar removes tar spots, tree sap, insect residues and industrial contamination to leave your paintwork as smooth as glass.

Machine Polishing

Your car may suffer from fading, this is due to UV light from the sun, and a machine polish can bring back the new look to the paint and restore the original colour. You may also have small scratches and marks on the paintwork, and again this can be removed by the machine (which is very very hard to be done by hand). You may also have damage from car wash machines and bad hand car washing, you will see marks in the paintwork, looking similar in some cases to spiders webs, and fine lines in the paint, and these again can be removed also by a machine, using several processes to gradually take them out.

Pre-Wax

You can wax a car after a wash, but remember you are waxing over a still dirty surface. With pre-waxing this basically cleans the surface and gives a better bond for the wax to adhere to, giving better results and longevity. In layman’s terms, if you are painting the walls in your house it is better to clean the walls first to remove any marks and grease etc before painting over the dirt! This is the same principle - preparation is always important for the best results.

Paintwork Sanding & Flatting

A lot of car's paintwork close up resembles the texture of an orange skin. Because this surface is uneven, it doesn't give a perfect reflection. Flattening or sanding the paintwork and then machine-polishing it, smoothes the paintwork to a mirror-like surface.
